Native Plants as Food & Medicine

From 10:00AM to 11:00AM

This program is facilitated by a local volunteer and focuses on the natural hisotry and cultural significance of many plants native to St. Andrews State Park and the northwest region of Florida. This program consists of a one-hour, 0.5 mile hike along the park's Gator Lake Trail, which meanders through a well-shaded maritime hammock that is situated on an ancient sand dune system. It is recommended that participants bring a camera, binoculars, sunscreen, insect repellant, and drinking water. Limited parking is available at the Gator Lake parking lot.  Additional parking is available at the gravel overflow parking lot, which is across from the Camp Store. Call 850-233-5140 for more info.
